- To operate an independent, dedicated performance space in Ballarat.
- To entertain audiences with a diverse range of shows and events and provide a place for social connection.
- To showcase and develop the professional performing arts in Ballarat, providing opportunities and support to artists and creatives.
VISION
- With a flexible floorplan and great facilities, the venue will play host to touring productions and commercial hires, as well as new works developed with local performers and performing arts companies.
- It will foster talent: providing opportunities for education and career development; creating works for touring, creating funding opportunities for artists and laying the foundations for a new era of creativity in Ballarat.
- It will bring the joy of performance to all – through diversity and accessibility initiatives, community outreach programs and partnership programs with organisations, schools and businesses.
NEWS!
Spark Theatre is now registered as a not-for-profit incorporated association, and we are currently in the process of the foundational work – administration and planning.
Soon, we will be launching our membership and fund-raising program to enable us to work on the next steps (e.g. programming shows) and we’ll also be opening a call-out for interested performers and companies.
